Ambassador of France delivers lecture to 11th Class attending Advanced Security Studies



Today, the Ambassador of the French Republic to Serbia, Pierre Cochard, delivered a lecture entitled "The State of Bilateral Relations with the Republic of Serbia and Views on Security Challenges, Risks and Threats in Southeast Europe and the World" to the 11th Class of students attending the Advanced Security and Defence Studies at the "Vojvoda Radomir Putnik" School of National Defence. 
During his lecture, the French Ambassador referred to the current geopolitical position of France, its views and relations with the European and Western Balkans countries, particularly with the Republic of Serbia.
 
The students were also presented with the French view on current security threats in Europe and the world, which have an impact on the national interests of France and Serbia, particularly in peacekeeping operations in the region and the world.   
Also, France’s positions regarding the prospects of further development of security structures and mechanisms for preserving and achieving national goals at the regional and global levels were highlighted, as well as the priorities during the presidency of the European Union that France currently holds.
The lecture was attended by the Rector of the Defence University, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, Assoc. Prof, Colonel Nebojša Svjetlica from the Defence Policy Sector, Ministry of Defence, and the Defence Attaché of France to Serbia, Colonel Laurent Vonderscher.
