Commencement of training for youngest generation of soldiers
The basic training for soldiers who are performing their voluntary military service (Class of March 2022), has started today in the Serbian Armed Forces basic training centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.
After several days of adaptation, the soldiers were acquainted with the organization of life and work in the Serbian Armed Forces, issued personal weapons and prepared for the beginning of intensive training. They will spend the next five weeks in the basic training centres, learning how to handle personal weapons and perform basic tactical actions and procedures in combat, doing drill, learning about service rules and regulations and improving their physical fitness.
After basic training, the soldiers will be sent to specialist training centres, where they will be trained for specialties within their branches and services, and then they will be assigned to Serbian Armed Forces units where they will undergo collective training and be involved in everyday tasks until the end of their military service. This is another class which shows high motivation to perform military service and they are satisfied with the living and working conditions in the training centres and military pay, which have significantly improved over the past period.
