Future SAF NCOs undergo training
The Basic NCO Training Course is underway at the "Sergeant Milunka Savić" NCO Training Centre. This training course is organized for the 19th time in this Serbian Armed Forces specialist training centre. Professional soldiers who have successfully completed the Leadership Course and whose work results in the unit have shown that they are ready for this level of training are taking the course. During the six-month Basic NCO Training Course, soldiers will be trained for initial non-commissioned officer posts in SAF units.
During the first - general module, which is now being carried out, participants learn how to command a squad, carry out general tactical tasks and conduct basic individual and general military training. The focus is on acquiring the skills necessary for successful command of squads while undertaking tactical actions in combat operations. Upon the completion of the first module, future non-commissioned officers will receive specialist training for the positions of assistant squad leaders in accordance with their branch or service, followed by serving a three-week internship in SAF units. Those who successfully complete all modules will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned appropriate non-commissioned officer jobs in SAF units.
