Free admission to Military Museum and Aeronautical Museum on Statehood Day
The Military Museum in the Kalemegdan Park and the Aeronautical Museum in Surčin will offer free entry to all visitors on February 15 and 16, on the occasion of Candlemas - the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia.
From 10 am to 5 pm, citizens will be able to see the Military Museum’s permanent exhibition, which covers the historical period from 4,000 BC to the most recent 1990s wars. The exhibition, consisting of 3,500 items and documents, includes weapons, military clothes, uniforms, flags and decorations. The exhibition also contains numerous photographs and works of art that vividly depict military and national history of our region.
During the holiday, citizens will be offered free admission to one of the major aviation museums in the world, the Aeronautical Museum, from 10 am to 5 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the entire century of aviation in one place, looking at exhibits from the pioneer period to modern age. The permanent exhibition consists of more than 70 original domestic and foreign aircraft, seaplanes, helicopters and gliders. Separate thematic exhibitions cover certain important periods in the history of Serbian aviation.
