Computer assisted exercise

The 2nd Army Brigade’s 21st Infantry Battalion has conducted an exercise at the SAF Simulations Training Centre this week.

In this computer assisted exercise, the unit's command was taught to organize and carry out the infantry battalion’s military actions in an offensive operation. For several days, tactical actions and staff procedures used for conducting operations were practiced and checked, and daily analyses of the command’s decision-making process at all levels of command were made.  The knowledge of the principles of use of units and weapons, cooperation with Air Force and Air Defence units and the Mixed Artillery Brigade, and cooperation with the Gendarmerie, the Red Cross and other military and civilian structures were also tested.

Computer assisted exercises are an important form of practical training conducted in the Serbian Armed Forces because they provide an opportunity for staff officers and commands to practice planning and conducting combat operations, using the minimum amount of material resources.
