Minister Stefanović presents scholarships
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, presented today Ministry of Defence-funded scholarship contracts to ten young people who meet the 2021/2022 scholarship criteria. According to him, the progress and modernization of our armed forces depend on these young experts, who see their future pursuing careers in the defence system and Serbia.

Speaking about the importance of the Military Technical Institute, the Minister said that the times when only guns had been used for defence, were long gone.
- Computers and drones are used today, and everything that a new generation of young people, perhaps you, will design, improve and modernize, will be used in the future. Our country needs such young people who see their future pursuing careers in our armed forces and country. I met a lot of our engineers last year, many young people got jobs at the Military Technical Institute, and that was a powerful reinforcement. We are constantly increasing salaries in that sector, but also in the entire armed forces. People like you will always be highly valued in the job market, but we are trying hard to keep you in our system - said Minister Stefanović.

- We also seek to enable our personnel to get apartments through salary increases, scholarships, incentives, because we want to show that we value knowledge and that you are invaluable to us, that our armed forces need you in order to be able to respond to any challenges, new asymmetric, hybrid and cyber security threats. Thank you once again for your commitment, I hope you finish you studies successfully and join our ranks as soon as possible - said Minister Stefanović.
