Minister Stefanović: “Cornet“ brings new capabilities to the Serbian Armed Forces
Tonight, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, told Pink TV’s "National News" that the "Cornet" anti-tank missiles, which were delivered from the Russian Federation the day before yesterday, will be mounted on our "Miloš" armoured combat vehicles and other armoured personnel carriers, thus enhancing the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
As agreed by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in a meeting held in November in Sochi, the "Cornet" anti-tank missiles have arrived in Serbia before the New Year. They are one of the most modern guided weapons systems with an 8 km range, and they will further strengthen our armed forces. "You will see them soon in the units designated by the General Staff. For the most part, they will be mounted on our vehicles, primarily on "Miloš", but also on some other armoured personnel carriers, which will actually give the armed forces a new capability and make our soldiers even more efficient in defending the country”, Minister Stefanović told Pink TV.
He explained that "there is no enemy tank or armoured vehicle that we cannot counter-attack with this system."
