Commander of Hungarian Defence Forces visits Republic of Serbia
The Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia, at the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
Today, General Ruszin-Szendi visited the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, where he talked to General Mojsilović about the current political and security situation in the region and the possibility of further improvement of bilateral cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces.
The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between the two militaries is intensive and substantial, based on friendly and good neighbourly relations and characterized by constant improvement, primarily in the field of training and exercises, whose execution significantly improves interoperability and combat readiness.
The importance of Hungarian participation in KFOR, under the command of Major General Ferenc Kajári since mid-October, for preserving the peace and security of the entire population in Kosovo and Metohija and protecting the Serbian cultural, historical and religious heritage, was particularly emphasized.
During his visit to Serbia, the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces will also visit the Ministry of Defence and the 72nd Special Operations Brigade.
