Minister Stefanović Attended Exercise of Armed Forces of Republic of Turkey



Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, talked to Minister of Interior of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, together with Turkish Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, attended an exercise of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey held on the training area “General Nahit Şenoğul” in Polatli.

The total of 885 members of Turkish Armed Forces Command and Special Units Command participated in the live firing exercise titled “Free Fire 2021” near Ankara. They fired from 42 assets and combat systems that are organic weapons of the Turkish armed forces, starting from fighter planes F-4, assault helicopters ATAK, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-tank systems OMTAS, Kornet, Tow2 and others.

Apart from the two ministers of defence, the exercise was attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey General Yaşar Güler, and unit commanders of the Turkish armed forces.
