Military drivers win team bronze at International Army Games
The Serbian Armed Forces drivers took third place and won a bronze medal in the final team race, which is the main event in the "Military Rally" discipline of the International Army Games.
The team race is specific in that all four off-road vehicles move together, in a group, and that all vehicles must complete the race. If a vehicle malfunction occurs during the race, the crews are expected to fix the problem using an individual tool kit. The team race track is the longest and most complex and our team covered about 200 kilometres in a little less than four hours, successfully fixing problems on two vehicles. This placed them third, after the Russian and Chinese teams.
By winning a bronze medal in the final team race, members of the Serbian Armed Forces finished the "Military Rally" competition, which was held in the city of Kyzyl in the far east of the Russian Federation. Previously, our team took third place in the live fire race, as well as a silver and a bronze medal in individual non-combat 4x4 and 6x6 "KamAZ" and "Ural" vehicle races.
Apart from the Serbian military team, the Israeli, Mongolian, Chinese, Belarusian, Uzbek and Russian military teams also competed for medals in the "Military Rally".
