Live firing against airborne targets
Members of the Army air defence artillery-missile units conducted today live firing against airborne targets using short-range weapon systems at the "Pasuljanske livade" range.
The aim of the live firing is to check the competence for destroying and neutralizing airborne targets using 9K32M S-2M, a light-weight, man-portable air defence system, better known as "Strela 2M".
The live firing was preceded by comprehensive individual preparations in parent units, as well as firing practices at the "Colonel-pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica.
Live firing against airborne targets is the final and most important stage in air defence units training, and the excellent and very good results achieved today testify to the competence and high motivation of personnel to perform specific tasks.
