Chief of Cypriot National Guard visits Serbia
The Chief of the Cypriot National Guard, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis, arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia at the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
The aim of the visit is to discuss the current political and security situation in the region, exchange experiences related to the involvement of the armed forces in the suppression of Covid 19 and improve cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Cypriot National Guard.
A welcome ceremony for General Zervakis was held today at the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, followed by official talks between generals Mojsilović and Zervakis and the two countries’ delegations. The meeting participants emphasized the traditionally good and friendly relations between our countries and expressed determination to further improve the level of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, primarily in the military to military domain.
As part of his official visit to Serbia, General Zervakis will visit the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and lay a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mount Avala.
