Minister Stefanović talks to State Secretary Gallach
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today in Madrid with Cristina Gallach, the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean in the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, with whom he discussed the continuation of cooperation in various fields.
He pointed out that Serbia was committed to joining the European Union and promoting bilateral cooperation with Spain. He also referred to the possibilities of cooperation between the two ministries of defence and aspects of security cooperation between the two countries.
Stefanović stated that joint participation in UNIFIL was an excellent example of cooperation and that cooperation with Spain was important to us for future participation in all UN and EU missions.Stefanović and Gallach also agreed that potential cooperation in the field of military industry could contribute to improving overall economic cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Stefanović once again thanked Spain for its support regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, and State Secretary Gallach pointed out that Spain's position on that issue was firm and remained unchanged in terms of support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
