Briefing on Serbia’s defence budget given to foreign military representatives
A briefing was given to foreign military representatives accredited to Serbia on Serbia’s 2021 defence budget. The briefing, organized by the Budget and Finance Sector and the International Military Cooperation Department, Defence Policy Sector, was held today via a video link.
In her opening remarks, Assistant Minister for Budget and Finance Katarina Pavičić pointed out the fact that the defence budget had been increased compared to the previous year, primarily to improve the service members’ standard of living and better equip the armed forces, which was in line with Serbia’s policy of military neutrality.
Colonel Milan Milunović, Head of the Budget Department, presented the structure of the 2021 defence budget to foreign military representatives, referring to the starting points and guidelines for the budget preparation and drafting, as well as the program structure of the defence budget.
