Concerts on the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day

On the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, the Guard Orchestra and the Ministry of Defence’s artistic ensemble “Stanislav Binički“ gave two outdoor concerts in Belgrade today.
The Guard Orchestra gave a traditional promenade concert in Knez Mihajlova Street, performing famous Serbian marches and foreign brass band compositions from 11 a.m. until noon. In addition to the well-known "March on the Drina", "March of King Alexander" and "March of King Milan", citizens of Belgrade had the opportunity to enjoy the famous "Slavic Women’s Farewell" by Vasily Agapkin and the unusual performance of "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder.

The citizens of Belgrade who followed the promenade concert along Knez Mihajlova Street down to Kalemegdan had the opportunity to round off the musical day with a concert performed by the MoD’s artistic ensemble "Stanislav Binicki" on the plateau in front of the Military Museum.
For that occasion, “Binički“ had prepared 12 pieces of music. In addition to famous marches and Serbian kolos, several unusual arrangements of famous musical numbers from films were performed.

“Tickets” for the concert at the Belgrade Fortress were protective face masks prepared by the Ministry of Defence in order to fully comply with the anti-epidemic measures.
