Minister Stefanović visits Museum of Republika Srpska
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, visited the Museum of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka today.
The Museum Director Miladin Savić and his associates presented the Museum’s history and the most significant exhibits to Minister Stefanović, emphasizing that this institution celebrated its 90th anniversary last year.
Among the exhibits, there are replicas of 130 Republika Srpska military units’ war flags donated to the Museum by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.
The Museum of Republika Srpska is the central institution for the protection of Republika Srpska’s movable cultural property. It has a rich collection of a total of 106,364 museum items and the library collection of about 14,300 books. The Museum of Republika Srpska also has a rich permanent exhibition covering the period from the distant past to the end of the Second World War.
One of the Museum’s most important exhibits is the multimedia exhibition “Jasenovac”.
