Minister Stefanović meets with Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Mr Momirović



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, talked today to Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirović about the two ministries’ joint projects.

At the meeting, Ministers Stefanović and Momirović considered draft amendments to The Law on Special Conditions for Implementing the Housing Construction Programme for Members of the Security Sector, prepared by the Ministry of Construction, whose purpose, among other things, is to change the conditions for purchasing apartments.
The aforementioned amendments to the Law refer to the changes in the way that members of the armed forces, police and other security forces have so far applied for obtaining apartments under privileged conditions.

Besides the national housing construction, Minister Stefanović also talked to the director of PE “Ski Resorts of Serbia”, Dejan Ćika, who also attended the meeting, about the completion of the construction of facilities in the military complex in Kopaonik, where the construction of a garage has been completed so far.

The topic of today's conversation was the beginning of the construction of a heliport with accompanying facilities for the Mi-17 helicopter. Its construction will begin by late spring, and the completion of works is expected by the end of October.
 
At today's meeting, Ministers Stefanović and Momirović also discussed the possibilities of expanding Military Academy’s 51st ski training ground in Kopaonik, where Military Academy cadets do winter training, but which is also used by all members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.
 
They also discussed the real estate exchange between the company "Koridori Srbije" and the Military Construction Institution regarding the construction of a bypass around Belgrade.
