Meeting of Minister Vulin with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Chen Bo
The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met today with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Belgrade, Chen Bo.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Vulin pointed out that Serbia will always cultivate warm friendship with the People’s Republic of China and assessed that joint projects of Serbia and China are making a good progress, solidly grounded in agreements and personal friendship between Presidents and Supreme Commanders Aleksandar Vučić and Xi Jinping.
Ambassador Chen Bo conveyed a strong support of the People’s Republic of China in the preservation of territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.
Minister Vulin confirmed that the Republic of Serbia supports the “One China” policy.
He emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a Conclusion on the suspension of international cooperation in the field of defence in the next six months due to terrible and undeserved pressure of the European Union.
- The Republic of Serbia has managed to preserve its neutrality because we are convinced that it is the right measure of relations with all interested parties – Minister Vulin emphasized.
On this occasion Minister Vulin expressed again his gratitude for the assistance that the People’s Republic of China sent, in the spirit of steel friendship between the two nations, to the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Armed Forces in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Vulin extended an invitation to the Minister of National Defence of the People’s Republic of China to visit Serbia in the coming period.
At the meeting, the two parties emphasized common commitment to further improve cooperation between the two countries.
