Final rehearsal of the promotion ceremony of the Serbian Armed Forces’ youngest officers
Final rehearsal in preparation for tomorrow's promotion ceremony of the youngest Serbian Armed Forces’ officers was held today at the “General Jovan Mišković“ barracks in Banjica, attended by the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Major General Petar Cvetković, Rector of the University of Defence, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, PhD, Commandant of the Military Academy Bojan Zrnić, PhD, Commander of the Guard, Major General Milomir Todorović and Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Brigadier General Željko Bilić.
For a number of years, the ceremony to promote the youngest officers was held in front of the House of the National Assembly, but given the epidemiological situation and respecting the preventative measures against the spread of the Covid-19 disease, the ceremony will be held again, after 14 years, at the Military Academy, i.e. in the "General Jovan Mišković" barracks.
The ceremony to promote second lieutenants of the Serbian Armed Forces will be held tomorrow, on 12 September 2020, starting at 11 o’clock in the “General Jovan Mišković” barracks and it will be attended by the highest representatives of the state and military leadership.
Radio Television of Serbia will broadcast tomorrow’s promotion ceremony live on Channel 1.
