Meeting of Minister Vulin with Serbian Olympic Committee President
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met President of Serbian Olympic Committee Božidar Maljković and Head of Serbian Delegation to CISM Brigadier General (retired) Siniša Radović with whom he talked about development of sports in the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces and Republic of Serbia, through strengthening the existing cooperation between the Minsitry of Defence and Serbian Olympic Committee.
In the previous period, the Ministry of Defence undertook comprehensive measures aimed at improvement and development of military sport potential and it continued enhancing the formal and legal and actual conditions for practicing sports in order to enable military athletes to achieve top results in national and international arena.
A common conclusion of today’s meeting is that the activities of strengthening potential of military sports will be continued and that the Ministry of Defence and Olympic Committee, through joint appearance in national and international, military and civilian competitions, will present the Serbian Armed Forces and Republic of Serbia in a dignified fashion, and aspire towards enlargement of capacities of the Sports Unit of the Military Academy by employing athletes, and they will enable professional members of the armed forces to achieve the required norms in order to become part of national team of the Republic of Serbia.
They, also spoke about the plans for joint education of cadre, sport preparations, camps and training, and equipping the athletes and creation of even more favourable conditions for their work.
