Meeting Held with Representatives of Aeronautical Union of Serbia
Today, State Secretary Bojan Jocić met representatives of Aeronautical Union of Serbia, with whom he discussed the opportunities for enhancement of cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces with that Union.
At the meeting, they also talked about the cooperation in terms of realisation of joint paratrooper, pilot and engine flight training, and about state parachuting championship of Serbia and the event “Balkan Friendship Jump” in which members of the Serbian Armed Forces have been traditionally participating.
According to State Secretary Jocić, there is room for mutual assistance, especially in the field of joint education, practice and training, and promotion of military aviation through the activities of the Aeronautical Union of Serbia.
President of the Aeronautical Union of Serbia, Labud Bulatović, underlines that support of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces is of great importance for that Union, particularly when it comes to organisation and participation in different events. He added that it was the reason why the Union is so firmly oriented towards strengthening the cooperation.
Today’s meeting was just the first in the series of meetings where the interlocutors will define a concrete plan for cooperation and joint activities of the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces and Aeronautical Union of Serbia.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Air Force and Air Defence Command Brigadier General Aleksandar Bjelić, Secretary General of the Aeronautical Union of Serbia Željko Ovuka and Manager of Airfield “Lisičji Jarak” Nikola Borovac.
