Minister Vulin at the Army Training Centre in Požarevac: Continuous training following medical recommendations of doctors and military medical corps

The Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin, visited today the Army Training Centre in “General Pavle Jurišić Šturm” barracks in Požarevac, where he attended different types of training.
After the visit, Minister Vulin pointed out that, in the course of their active service, all members of the Serbian Armed Forces have the opportunity for career advancement through work and commitment.

 - Today we attended various types of training, including the training of men who are preparing for the first NCO ranks and future officers. You have seen that there is always room for work, advancement and professional development in the Serbian Armed Forces. Regardless of the Covid epidemic, following all medical recommendations of doctors and military medical corps, we do not interrupt training for a single day – Minister Vulin pointed out.

The Serbian Armed Forces, as the Minister of Defence pointed out, are being trained every single day and their active, professional members are continuously preparing to protect our country and the security of every citizen of our country.

- We can preserve our way of life because we have our own armed forces which are constantly preparing, which are constantly being trained and modernized, which are constantly making progress and which are, for all those reasons, the greatest deterrent factor. When you have such armed forces, you can rest assured that peace is certain – Minister Vulin said.

Commander of the Army Training Centre, Colonel Milovan Vasić, pointed out that today, the integration of 150 trainees of the Centre in six subjects of training was shown.
- The training includes members of the Basic Course for NCOs who are undergoing a specialist part of the training, professional soldiers serving in the Army, who are undergoing training for supplementary military records specialty and additional training, as well as trainees for reserve officers who are here in the role of section and platoon commanders and this is their unique opportunity to train with members who are undergoing training. The training also includes members of the First Army Brigade who are learning to drive a military-police armoured vehicle in order to be sent to the multinational operation in Lebanon – Colonel Vasić said.

He added that he is satisfied with the way the training is being conducted because it means a lot to the trainees, especially to the members who are undergoing additional training.

 - In addition to their basic specialty, they will also acquire additional skills in their units that they haven’t had so far, and the trainees attending the Basic Course for NCOs will become NCOs at the end of the training, because this is the condition for acquiring an NCO rank – emphasized the Commander of the Army Training Centre and added that everyone is motivated and willing to master all the subject matters and fulfil all the tasks during the training.
