The meeting with the representatives of the Trade Union “Iron Regiment”
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Vulin thanked the trade union representatives for the fruitful cooperation so far, adding that by indicating the problems, many things have changed for the better in the previous period when it comes to the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
During today’s meeting, the president of the Trade Union “Iron Regiment”, Ljubiša Milošević, expressed gratitude to the Minister of Defence for successful cooperation so far, emphasizing that, in the previous period, the Ministry of Defence showed interest in solving the problems which had been pointed out by the representatives of that trade union in previous meetings and that adequate solutions were found.
Status and standard of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces were discussed at the meeting, and problems that officers, NCOs, professional soldiers and civilians encounter in the course of their professional service were also pointed out.
Also, there was talk of education and training, advancement in service and participation of our members in multinational operations, as well as the possibilities of overcoming shortcomings noticed in these areas. They also discussed solving housing issues through the construction of apartment blocks for members of security forces, as well as the advantages of this type of housing assistance.
Special attention during the talks was paid to the current engagement of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
In the final part of the meeting, it was pointed out once again how important the continuity of meetings and informing each other is for the improvement of the status and position of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
