Minister Vulin at the "Titel" training ground: Our rivers and our lakes will not be without adequate defence
Today, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin attended the training and firing practice of the River Flotilla units and the cadets of the 141st class of the Military Academy (River Units Module) at the naval weapons firing range.
As Minister Vulin pointed out, today, the members of the River Flotilla demonstrated once again a high level of training, motivation and a good working order of equipment.
- I am especially glad that all the cadets have proved that they spent their time at the Military Academy well, that they are well prepared and that they are ready to take on their first officer duties. I am very satisfied with how the new commanders of the ships of the River Flotilla performed, which shows that the arrival of new generations is successful and that equally exceptional officers and sailors are coming and that they will be even more exceptional in the future. The River Flotilla is an important part of the Army and no part of our territory can be undefended, just as the skies or land cannot be undefended, so our rivers and our lakes will not be without adequate defence - said Minister Vulin.
- Individual firings from 30 mm guns, 30 mm grenade launchers and 20 mm four-barrel guns were demonstrated. We also saw the cadets of the River Units, the 141st class of the Military Academy, conduct their first preliminary artillery firing practice - the Commander of the River Flotilla pointed out.
After being welcomed aboard the PRB 36 “Šabac” ship in the “Titel” port, the Minister of Defence attended firing at ground targets from ships, as well as the parade of the River Flotilla’s ships.
