Minister Vulin: The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to develop the CBRN component

Today, the Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin, visited the members of the Training Command’s CBRN Centre and the 246th CBRN Battalion in the "Car Lazar" barracks in Kruševac with the Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović.
After the briefings given by the Commander of the CBRN Centre, Colonel Sibin Dinčić, and the Commander of the 246th CBRN Battalion, Major Vladimir Filipović, Minister Vulin visited the training facilities of those units and attended the demonstration of CBRN units’ assets and equipment as well as the disinfection procedure.
Minister Vulin pointed out that the CBRN component of the Serbian Armed Forces has shown its value and its importance.

- The fight against Covid-19 showed how important people are, how important training is, how important motivation is, but it also showed that it is important to have the appropriate organizational capabilities and to have a unit that is able to cope with all this and fight with what Covid-19 brought to Serbia - Minister Vulin pointed out. According to him, the CBRN component will certainly be strengthened in the coming period, adding that some solutions that have been, for no reason, abandoned and changed will be reconsidered and returned.

- We will do our best to respond to new challenges. No one could have anticipated the coronavirus, no one could have predicted it and no one could have been ready for it. But the Serbian Armed Forces have shown that they are ready for everything, for every situation, every challenge, and that they are able to adapt, find the right solution, and be at the service of their people in the shortest possible time and with minimal resources - Minister Vulin emphasized.

The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to develop the CBRN component, the Minister of Defence said, but they will also continue to develop themselves, their capabilities, because without strong, organized, trained and equipped armed forces, there is no free Serbia.

After the visit, the Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, pointed out that apart from doctors, nurses and police officers, Serbia can certainly be proud of all soldiers and officers who participated in eliminating the consequences of the coronavirus.

- It can be especially proud of our "golden", professional and fully dedicated soldiers and commanding officers of the CBRN units from Kruševac - General Simović emphasized.

CBRN units were also visited by the Chief of Staff of the Training Command, Colonel Nikola Dejanović, and the Commander of the Rasina Brigade Development Command, Colonel Rade Rnjaković.
