Members of the Russian expert teams visit the Military Museum
Members of the expert teams of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who are helping Serbia to prevent the spread and suppress the coronavirus infection, visited the Military Museum at Kalemegdan today.
The delegation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, led by Major General Mikhail Chernyshov, was welcomed by Colonel Dragan Milković of the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans and the curators of the Military Museum, Ljubica Dabić and Dušanka Maričić led the guests through the exhibition dedicated to 14 centuries long struggle of the Serbian people for freedom.
Following the history timeline, from the settlement of Slavic tribes in the Balkans, through the achievements of the medieval Serbian state and the fight for liberation from the Ottomans, to the 20th century world wars, and the confrontation with NATO aggression in 1999, members of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were able to get to know Serbian history in more detail.
Valuable museum exhibits, made up of many original artefacts and artworks that enrich their historical content, have attracted great interest among guests from the Russian Federation, especially the segments dedicated to the liberation wars led by Serbia in the 20th century.
