Minister Vulin at the Belgrade Fair: the Armed Forces are preparing 3,000 beds for the treatment of patients infected with the coronavirus
The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited today Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair where the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are engaged in unloading and setting up 3,000 beds for the reception and accommodation of persons with the symptoms of Covid-19 infection.
Minister Vulin, who, together with the Collegium Members, joined the "human chain" formed to unload soldiers' beds as soon as possible, stressed that, in accordance with the orders received, the Serbian Armed Forces are carrying out all their tasks.
According to him, doctors from China, experts, will also come to the Fair to see what it all looks like and say whether something needs to be changed or further done.
- The Serbian Armed Forces will be ready to meet every need and provide everything needed for the treatment of patients here. We are ready to do the same thing that we are doing here in any city in Serbia, in accordance with the needs and as ordered by the Crisis Staff of the Government of the Republic of Serbia - the Minister of Defence emphasized.
- Not only soldiers and officers are here today, but also civilians and civil servants of the Ministry of Defence. All the members of the system of our Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are here today to work, like every other day, and are at our citizens’ disposal - says Minister Vulin, emphasizing that the Serbian Armed Forces will secure this facility, as needed, and any other facility where our citizens are quarantined, the same way it is securing all migrant camps, significant health care institutions and border crossings.
Colonel Ljubiša Stošić, Head of the Operations Division at the Training Command Headquarters stated that the assigned task would be completed today.
In Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair, CBRN units carried out disinfection of the space where beds are being set up.
