Minister Vulin in Subotica: Due to the temperature drop, another reception centre
The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited the Reception Centre in Subotica today, where, in accordance with the decision on a state of emergency, the members of the Serbian Armed Forces are engaged in carrying out enhanced surveillance, entry and exit control and external security of these facilities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.
- Due to the worsening weather conditions and a sudden temperature drop, the Serbian Armed Forces have decided to open another reception centre. This reception centre will accommodate our nationals who do not have a registered address, i.e. a registered residence in our territory, or those who pose a medical or sanitary threat based on competent doctors’ estimate - said the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin after visiting the Reception Centre in Subotica.All the people accommodated in the Reception Centre, which will be secured by the Serbian Armed Forces, will have medical care 24 hours a day, food and everything else they need, which will also be provided by the Serbian Armed Forces, emphasizes Minister Vulin, adding that so far, seven of the newly arrived citizens of Serbia have been handed over to competent medical institutions, due to fever.
Major Adam Horvat, Deputy Commander of the 17th Mechanized Battalion in Bačka Topola, said that in accordance with the orders, measures have been taken to create conditions for accommodating our citizens returning from abroad at the Reception Centre in Subotica.After the completion of all the activities necessary for carrying out this task, teams were formed which will make sure that this Centre functions in the coming period - Major Horvat confirmed.
The tour of the Reception Centre in Subotica was attended by the State Secretary Bojan Jocić, the Commander of the 1st Army Brigade, Brigadier General Zoran Nasković, and the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, Vladimir Cucić.
