“Persons of trust“ seminar
The Directorate for European Integration and Project Management of the Ministry of Defence with the support of the UNDP SEESAC Belgrade Office has organised the third seminar for the “persons of trust” within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, which is held in Ruma from 10 to 11 March. The seminar is held within the project of “Strengthening of regional cooperation on gender mainstreaming in the Security Sector Reform in the Western Balkans” with 19 participants from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces selected as “persons of trust” by their organisational units. Thirty-eight persons were trained in the previous two seminars.
The third seminar should provide “persons of trust” with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to identify cases of discrimination at work and to contact the person who needs help as soon as possible. In addition to specific topics in the field of gender equality, prevention of discrimination and the protection of human rights, the seminar also includes mastering different skills for conducting conversations and various mediation techniques which enable “persons of trust” to approach the person who should state and report a case of discrimination more easily.The seminar will also allow the participants to exchange information and give practical examples, in order to enhance their ability to perform their duties better.
