President Vučić: Support to the Serbian people is support for the preservation of peace
- Serbia is facing a great political challenge at the moment when she is at her peek economic position in the last 50 years. With the acceptance of the message by Patriarch Irinej on the necessity of unity and solidarity, which we have abided by more than any other authority in Serbia ever, we have always been with our people in RepublikaSrpska and Montenegro – saidthe President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, AleksandarVučić today, after the meeting with representatives of Serbs from the region at the SecretariatGeneral Office of the President of the Republic, in which the Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin also participated.
President Vučić emphasized that Serbia needs peace more than anything else.
- My request to everyone is to first and foremosttake care and be aware that Serbia’s greatest success is linked precisely to how long peace can be preserved, how many more children we can have, and how successful our economy can be. We will continue to support RepublikaSrpska and our people in Montenegro through all forms that are lawful, legal and justified. We will strive to preserve peace and stability. We will fight for the reputation of Serbia in the world, I will fight for the truth in every place and further strengthen the reputation and position of Serbia and the Serbian people in the world. Our support for the Serbian people in the region will be greater, but that support will always be for the preservation of peace, stability and protection of our children’sright to the future – saidPresident Vučić and congratulated the citizens of Serbia on the Statehood Day –Candlemass.Patriarch Irinej of Serbia said that “we are not a great nation, but we can only survive in the circumstances existing in the world provided that we remain united”.
- Unitedin good. This has saved us and allowed us to emerge from the big crises, it will help us today as well. It is our duty to demonstrate who we really are and to strive to rise up to what our ancestors have been in similar circumstances. Only unity can help us overcome the challenges of our times and preserve our people – saidPatriarch Irinej.
