Minister Vulin: Employment for 100 workers in “Jumko” Plant in Drvar

Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Serbian member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik toured a construction site in Drvar for a factory plant for production of fabric, ready-to-wear clothing and knitwear “Jumko” from Vranje, where 100 workers are going to be employed.

As Minister Vulin pointed out after the tour, all the Serbs, no matter where they lived, should know that as long Aleksandar Vučić ran the Republic of Serbia, Serbia would take care of them, and every Serbian, no matter where he lived, would be assisted and protected and economically and diplomatically and in every other way.

- President Vučić asked me to tour the construction site and report to him as to how far the works have gone, with absolute expectation that his word will be
honoured as always, and that means that this plant is going to be opened by the New Year. One hundred of citizens of Drvar, one hundred people of Drvar will have their existence, job, and their children will have reason to believe in future and remain at the hearth where they were born. They used to be forced to leave these parts by knives and pits, but it is high time they returned and they should know that Serbia will be with them wherever they live – Minister Vulin stressed.

According to his words, Serbia places the Republic of Srpska at the first place as its foreign policy priority, but it just the same takes care of the Serbs wherever they live, and even the Serbs who live in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- They need help, and we are here to help them. The Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Defence as responsible for the company “Jumko”, will do everything not only to open the plant, but to increase the number of workers, so that we work more, to create and I believe that no one can find a single bad thing in it and no one can have any bad intention towards the Republic of Serbia, President Vučić, Milorad Dodik and everyone who have come here to provide bread to a hundred of families. I wish I heard not a single bad commend, because these people deserve to be helped, they deserve to be given bread and I hope that no one will count them by their nationality, or ask why that bread came from Serbia, but they will be glad and proud of the fact that a hundred families will have their existence resolved – Minister Vulin emphasised adding that President Vučić gave his word and that word would be honoured.

Serbian member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik underscored that on that day, together with Minister Vulin, he made sure that the works were being done intensively, which guaranteed that the works would be completed by agreed deadline.

- I extend my gratitude first of all to President Vučić and Serbia which demonstrates its attention, and to Minister Vulin who gives motion to many projects which they have supported in the Republic of Srpska, and now in these four municipalities. And that is not the only thing, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has already paid a million of convertible marks of assistance to the municipality to solve utility and infrastructural problems, and on Thursday or Friday, the Government of the Republic of Srpska will pay 200 thousand convertible marks for a kindergarten here, as it has been promised earlier – Milorad Dodik stressed adding that a new quality would come with all the help, which is the opening of new jobs in Drvar, which was an important news not only for Drvar but for the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Director-General of “Jumko” from Vranje Branislav Trajković underlined that after the visit from the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić in September, it had been decided to open a plant in Drvar that would employ one hundred workers. He also stressed that a competition was opened, and that three hundred interested workers applied and that admission of workers would have been conducted by the end of November. As he announced, the official opening of the plant was scheduled for 20th December and the training would be done by technicians, engineers and technologists from the factory “Jumko” from Vranje.

Speaking about the significance of that plant being opened in those parts, Major of Drvar Dušica Runić expressed her gratitude for all the support rendered until then to that municipality by the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Srpska, since it gave hope for survival and that the people from those parts would remain there.
Prior to touring the construction sites at the place of the future factory, Minister Vulin and Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dodik met Mayor of Drvar Dušica Runić with whom they talked about the enhancement of cooperation.

Opening of Jumko’s plant is a part of assistance that Serbia has earmarked for the municipality of Drvar after the visit from the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić in September.
