Visit from the President of French Republic Macron to the Republic of Serbia




President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron has arrived today in Belgrade for a two-day visit to our country. The French President was welcomed at Belgrade airport “Nikola Tesla” by President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić.
The French president’s plane was escorted through the airspace of the Republic of Serbia by three MiG 29 planes of the Air Force and Air Defence  of the Serbian Armed Forces. After landing at the airport “Nikola Tesla”, the French president was met by the guard of honour of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard.
 
The formal welcoming ceremony, arranged in front of the Palace of Serbia, was attended by delegations of the two states. The delegation of the Republic of Serbia included Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin.
Along with the guard of honour of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard and national anthems performed by Ceremonial orchestra of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard, honorary artillery fire was also performed with 10 volleys fired from 10 artillery weapons.
 
Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Emmanuel Macron had a narrow format meeting in the Palace of Serbia
