Civilian Training Course for the Participation in Peacekeeping Operations




 
In the Army Multinational Operations and Pre-Deployment Training Centre in the South base, a two-week civilian training course for the participation in peacekeeping operations began with the aim of establishing national capacities for the participation of civilian structures of the Republic of Serbia in peace missions of the United Nations, the European Union and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
 
The course was opened by State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Aleksandar Živković, in the presence of Acting Commissioner for Refugees and Migration Vladimir Cucić, Director of the Office for European Integration and Project Management of the Defence Policy Sector of the Ministry of Defence, Colonel Katarina Štrbac, PhD, and the commander of the Multinational Operations and Pre-Deployment Training Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Branislav Stevanović.
 
During the training, instructors from the Army Multinational Operations and Pre-Deployment Training Centre will bring participants closer to the conditions of a multinational environment in which peace operations are carried out and teach them how to face challenges and preserve their lives in the area of operations.
 
The course is attended by 21 participants from the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia.
