Oath Taking Ceremony Held in Leskovac
The oath taking ceremony was held in the barracks “Vojvoda Petar Bojović” in Leskovac for the June generation of soldiers serving voluntary military service.
Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Major General Petar Cvetković congratulated the soldiers on their oath taking and underlined that being a soldier meant serving to general wellbeing and being ready for hard work and self-sacrifice for the purpose of defending the country and achieving the noblest values of the society.
- During your stay in the units, you will become part of a unique collective that develops morale, military spirit and discipline, and besides military skills, in the armed forces, you will gain lasting friendships and experiences which will be useful throughout your lives – General Cvetković said.
According to Company Commander Dragan Đekić, the training has been lasting for some time, but the oath taking ceremony is still something special for all superiors and soldiers.
All the loved ones came to see soldier Nenad Gavrilović from Kuršumlija on the day of the oath taking, which meant a lot to him. Soldier Slađana Ilić from Vlasotnice recommends everyone to come and serve the military service. She wishes to get employment and work in the Serbian Armed Forces and she enjoys support for that by her father Radosav and mother Daliborka. The motive of soldier Predrag Aleksić from Vranje to voluntarily serve the military service is primarily to continue a family tradition, and to gain new knowledge, skills and of course friendship that will be permanently remembered.
