Cooperation between Ministry of Defense and Commissariat for Refugees and Migration
Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin and Acting Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, Vladimir Cucić, signed today a Memorandum of Cooperation which creates the conditions for continuing the implementation of the training of representatives of state institutions of the Republic of Serbia for participation in multinational operations.
The Memorandum refers to the establishment of cooperation in the field of training of members of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia. For the members of the Commissariat, the organization of the Civilian Training Course for the participation in peacekeeping missions is defined in accordance with the annual training program for the participation of civilians in multinational operations, which was first successfully implemented for representatives of the state institutions by the Ministry of Defense in November 2018.

Training course for the members of the Commissariat, led by the Directorate for European Integration and Project Management of the Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense and the Center for Training units of the Serbian Armed Forces for multinational operations, will be held at the “South” Base between 24 June and 5 July 2019. The aim of the course is to train and provide knowledge about peacekeeping missions, duties and tasks of civilian experts in missions under the auspices of the United Nations, the European Union and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.By establishing partnership relations with the Commissariat, the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces, with their rich experience in selection, equipping, training, deployment and support for participation in multinational operations, continue to actively contribute to improving the process of preparation and training of civilian experts for the needs of other state administration bodies in Serbia for participation in peacekeeping missions and operations, in function of preserving, maintaining and building peace beyond the borders of our country.
