Defender of the Fatherland Day Marked
On the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, National Day of the Russian Federation, wraths were laid at the Memorial Cemetery at the Monument to the Liberators of Belgrade and the Monument to the Red Army.The wreaths were laid by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Chepurin, the Ambassador of Belarus ValeryBrylev, representatives of the embassies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans' Affairs and Social Affairs.
The Memorial Cemetery to the Liberators of Belgrade is the final resting place to 1.395 fighters of the National Liberation Army of Yugoslavia and 818 members of the Red Army, who fought side by side and gave their lives for the liberation of Belgrade in the Second World War.
