Cooperation between Serbia and the Union of the Comoros in the field of defence




Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin has met today with Colonel Youssouf Idjihadi, Chief of Staff of the Comorian Armed Forces, in Belgrade.
Minister Vulin expressed his gratitude for the withdrawal of the decision of the Union of the Comoros to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, as well as for the diplomatic support of the Union of the Comoros in the protection of the interests of the Republic of Serbia in international organisations.
 
As it has been pointed out at the meeting, the decades-long friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Union of the Comoros represent an excellent basis for establishing cooperation in the field of defence.
 
Minister Vulin and Colonel Idjihadi concluded that the signing of the Agreement would create a legal framework for the establishment and further development of bilateral cooperation in all areas of common interest, such as military economic, military medical and military educational cooperation.
