Minister Vulin: Special Forces Brigade ready and trained to respond to any challenge
The Special Brigade is our most elite and most trained unit. It is ready to execute any order of our state leadership and the supreme commander and we can fully rely on it, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said, as he visited members of the Special Brigade stationed at the Rastko Nemanjić barracks in Pančevo today, accompanied by Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, Army Commander.
According to him, Serbia can rely on the Special Brigade and its readiness to defend our people and our way of life no matter where it is threatened.
The minister stressed that apart from this, the Serbian Armed Forces is ready and trained to respond to any challenge.
- In the forthcoming period, we will invest even more in all that the Special Brigade needs to be up to the task, to respond to any challenge and need. We have already ensured the improvement of the material status for all members of the Special Brigade in accordance with the order of the supreme commander, and next year we are to expect another salary increase of nine percent – the minister of defence said. All this will, he added, significantly affect the quality of life of all our members, particularly the members of the Special Brigade, which will make them and their families feel stable and secure.
- These are people who love their job, who love their profession and above all love Serbia and are ready to fight for it. The Special Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Miroslav Talijan, emphasized that during the visit to the Special Brigade, its members showed the top-level competence of personnel of this unit in special-physical training, fire and tactical skills for solving the most complicated tasks within the complex counter-terrorism operation carried out with close support of the members of the Air Force and Air Defence. After briefing by the Special Brigade commander, the minister of defence and the chief of General Staff visited the static display of arms and military equipment in service in that unit and attended the demonstration of the qualification level of the Serbian special forces members.
