Development of Cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and “Transnafta”




 
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited today the storage of propellant fuel “Lednici” near Novi Sad and met the representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Energy and management of Public Company “Transnafta”.
 
The reason for today’s visit was the continuation of cooperation with the PC “Transnafta” and the Ministry of Mining and Energy regarding storing state and military reserves of petroleum and petroleum derivatives in military storages of petrol, in the framework of a state Programme for the implementation of strategy for energy development of the Republic of Serbia.
 
As Minister Vulin pointed out, the Serbian Armed Forces is developing and modernising fast, so the requirements for energy sources were more pronounced. Accordingly, the participants of today’s meeting considered the further development of cooperation and possibilities for expanding the capacities of military reserves of energy sources.
