Minister Vulin: We will continue Vučić's policy in the Serbian Defence Industry

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by General Ljubiša Diković, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, have visited today Milan Blagojević - Namenska A.D. Company from Lučani.

At a meeting with the management, the leading persons from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces were briefed by factory director Radoš Milovanović about very successful business results in 2017, and the parameters in the first half of the current year. Minister Vulin has also met with the representatives of the trade unions of the company.

During the visit, the high guests visited the facility and the continuous C-9A cellulose nitration unit, for which money was provided by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the location where intermediate depots for inflammable and hazardous materials are built.

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that Milan Blagojević - Namenska A.D. Company is one of the key factories in the defence industry of Serbia and “it is of the greatest interest to the Government of the Republic of Serbia that the policy of Aleksandar Vučić, when he was prime minister, continues in the Defence Industry and Milan Blagojević Company”.

- This means that we will continue investing not only in this factory, but in the entire Serbian Defence Industry. The leadership and workers of Milan Blagojević - Namenska A.D. have full support from the Ministry of Defence and we hope that they will continue with this work and with ever better results – Minister Vulin said.

He added that the employees of Milan Blagojević Company can be at ease and feel safe, because their factory will continue to grow and improve.

- Their safety will be taken care of just as it has been done so far, and they can safely plan their life and future, to attach themselves to their factory, just as they can attach their life to the municipality and the environment in which they live, because it will only be better here. It will be invested in even more, and this factory will employ even larger numbers of people, which is of the greatest interest for both the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence – the defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said.

Director Radoš Milovanović thanked the minister of defence and the chief of General Staff and said that he took the opportunity to introduce them to the development of new weapons, military equipment and systems.

- I also introduced them to the way how we spent funds received from the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which provide us with better quality of our products and greater safety. Today, I have paid particular attention to how much we invest in occupational safety and regulations every year. It amounts to minimum one and a half million euros, up to two million euros, because it is very dangerous production - director Radoš Milovanović said expressing his satisfaction with the high load on capacities and the fact that there is a great need for the factory's products.

He added that it has been quite rare to have in one place, in one factory, production of single-phase, double-phase and three-phase powders, propellants and other poducts, for which the chemical giant of Lučani will be ready after investments from the Government of the Republic of Serbia, with the participation of their own funds.
