Cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of defence
Representatives of the Joint Committee on Defence and Security of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the chairman Sifet Podžić, visited the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia within the visit to the institutions of the Republic of Serbia.
In his opening speech, State Secretary Aleksandar Živković emphasized the importance of good neighborly relations and cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina. He assessed that the defence cooperation has reached a high level, but there was room for further improvement.In the continuation of the visit to the defence system, guests were introduced to the process of drafting strategic and doctrinal documents, activities in cooperation with the European Union and within the Partnership for Peace programme, as well as to the engagement in multinational operations.
Representatives of the Joint Committee on Defence and Security during the visit also visited the Material Resources Sector and the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.
