Minister Vulin: The Response that We Are Waiting for Is the Establishment of the Special Court and Association of Serbian Municipalities
Asked by journalists to comment on the statement of Kadri Veseli, Chairmen of Priština Assembly, in which he clearly expressed territorial aspirations towards the south of central Serbia, Minister Vulin underlined that “something like that might as well be expected from a terrorist who has not been convicted”.
- But it was not expected and we are quite concerned that the international community, both in Kosovo and Metohija and beyond that area, conspicuously keeps quiet after such a threat which essentially is a call for conflicts and war. Imagine that a representative of the state of Serbia said something similar, or that we will, for instance, reach Priština. How many minutes would it take the international community to condemn such a statement and demand answering for it? And, how many hours would it take to impose sanctions on Serbia or who knows what else? But everybody keeps quiet about this. The only response of the international community that we are asking for and waiting for, and which is the right response after this horrific threat to peace, is the establishment of the Special Court for the crimes committed by KLA and the establishment of the Association of Serbian Municipalities. We are not even interested in mild political condemnations and particularly not in those like – let the both sides refrain, as there are two sides. We are interested in one thing alone – When will you establish the Court for the war crimes of KLA and create the Association of Serbian Municipalities. That is the only answer that we want to hear to the threats of this terrorist. You leave everything else to us. The citizens of Serbia should not be concerned; not even for a second. Nobody will get to Niš, or start moving or even think to reach Niš. Leave the security, safety and peace to us, the Serbian Armed Forces, the state of Serbia, and leave them to all our bodies. You should establish the Court and the Association of Serbian Municipalities; this is the answer that we expect from you, and one knows how the terrorists are treated – Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin concluded.
