TV Programme about the Serbian Armed Forces on RTV Vojvodina
Directors of the Zastava Film Military Film Centre and the Radio Television of Vojvodina Public Media Institution, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Ikonić and Miodrag Koprivica, PhD, respectively, have signed a contract regulating mutual rights and obligations in broadcasting the TV programme of Radio Television of Vojvodina on defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, under the working title "The Lineup", in Novi Sad, today.
The half-hourly programme, which will be composed of short reporting forms lasting five to seven minutes, covering various areas of activities and life of the Serbian Armed Forces, will be broadcast twice a month starting from 29th October at noon.
After conveying the greetings of Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin to the hosts, Lieutenant Colonel Ikonić expressed his satisfaction over the signing of the contract and pointed out that the two houses have had a good cooperation for a long time, and that today's act of signing only confirmed this.
- In the forthcoming period, we will intensify and improve our cooperation, said the director of "Zastava Film" and added that this film house is successfully cooperating with the Public Broadcasting Service, but also with other televisions.
He reminded that the Zastava Film Military Film Centre is an institution within the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence, which performs the tasks in the field of information and film activities and sees the continuation of cooperation with RTV Vojvodina as a confirmation of the dignity of the house from which it comes.
- The most important thing is that we contribute to better informing of the the citizens of Vojvodina about topics from the life and work of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and it will be an opportunity to present part of our archival material that we have been collecting for almost seven decades, Lieutenant Colonel Ikonić said, wishing "The Lineup" programme good ratings and longevity.
Editor of the "Actuality" section of the Vojvodina Television, Željka Petrović, said that the house had not had a specialized show dealing with the issues of the Armed Forces for years.
- Now we have recognised this need, because we believe that the Armed Forces is one of the most important state institutions and certainly deserves attention of the public service, Petrović said, adding that she hopes that the confidence and interest of viewers will justify this belief.
The author of the "The Lineup" programme will be Bojana Lalić Šević, who, as it may have been heard, likes to say that in this programme segment, apart from official information from the defence system, it will be possible to see how ordinary soldiers live, or how their life looks like and "how they live and breathe".
