Meeting of the Minister of Defence with the Representatives of Company Česká Zbrojovka
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met today the representatives of the company “Česká Zbrojovka” headed by Lubomir Kovarik, Chairman of the Board of Directors who had initiated talks on the establishment of cooperation between Serbia and Czech Republic in the field of arms and military equipment.
It is a company famous for its world scale production of small arms so the interlocutors agreed that the joint project would be yet another in the array of contributions to rather active overall cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Vulin said that Serbia enhances its legal framework in the field of production of both arms and military equipment and harmonises it with the modern European legislation in the framework of its road towards the accession to the European Union, and that consequently the legal solutions are expected to be found soon that would facilitate the investments of foreign capital in Serbian defence industry factories.
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin stressed that the Ministry of Defence welcomes and supports the establishment of cooperation between the Czech company and PC Yugoimport SDPR in the areas of common interest and he expressed his hope that during the visit of the representatives of the company “Česká Zbrojovka” concrete steps aimed at the operationalization of that cooperation would be agreed upon.
