Minister Vulin in "Prva petoletka"

Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin has visited Today, "Prva petoletka-namenska" company in Trstenik where he met with the management of the company and representatives of trade unions, after which he and his associates visited the serial production plant and the assembly hall within that factory.

After the meeting, Minister Vulin pointed out that "Prva petoletka" is an example of how a proper investment, a business operation and money spending in a manner of a good host, good management, cooperation with trade unions, can change the situation in one collective and make from a failed company, which everyone thought should be given up on, one of the best companies in our entire defence industry. - The Government of the Republic of Serbia will continue with the policy of the former Prime Minister Mr. Vučić and continue to invest in the defence industry. "Prva petoletka" company is allocated three and a half million euros, and we hope that they will manage to spend that money on buying new machines and preparing for the time to come by the end of the year. The time to come is the time that will require new technologies, more sophisticated products and products that have to deal with the most developed countries, and export to the world market - Minister Vulin said. Speaking about the problems encountered by our defence industry, the Minister of Defence estimated that this was certainly a need for highly educated engineering personnel. - We do not have a customized education system that creates them, we do not have a system in which they can be saved and rewarded, in order to work exactly in the defence industry, and that is what the Ministry of Defence, together with the Ministry of Finance, has to do, facilitate not only finding engineers, but also to adequately reward them and pay them to remain in the defence industry, not to go for some other company. This is our strategic interest, people are our strategic interest and we need to find a way to educate them, pay them, reward them for what we do and thus preserve the defence industry of Serbia - Minister Vulin emphasized, adding that you cannot produce an aviation engineer or a rocket engineer who is involved in the production or design of rockets, only in the university, because he has to finish a particular school, but after that he has to develop and learn for years from someone who has already worked on that.

According to Minister Vulin, it is up to us to buy time ahead of us, to educate a new cadre, to preserve the existing staff and to enable young people to be employed and to be highly educated and stay in our defence industry. Minister Vulin also reminded that the new law that will be adopted will enable investments in the defence industry of Serbia to the level of 49 percent, which means that the state of Serbia will preserve full control over the special-purpose industry, the defence industry, and that it will facilitaty money and technology to arrive, as well as the space to new markets, but the full control will remain in the hands of the state and no one factory of the Serbian defence industry will be either diminished or abandoned, but on the contrary. Director of "Prva petoletka", Anđelka Atanasković pointed out that today's visit is an opportunity for the Minister of Defence to make sure that the money that the state has allocated to that factory is invested in the purchase of new machines. - Two machines according to this project have already arrived, and there are more of them to be ordered in the forthcoming period, she stressed, adding that new projects, which are soon to be finalized and submitted to the Technical Test Centre for testing have already been worked on, after which they are expected to be introduced into our Armed Forces.

The president of the municipality of Trstenik, Aleksandar Ćirić, pointed out the excellent cooperation with "Prva petoletka" companz, adding that the modernization of the process and the improvement of the factory's work has multiple significance for the development of the municipality of Trstenik.
