Signed Protocol on Education of Students at the Military Academy in the Field of Public Finances
The Minister of Defence, Zoran Đorđević and the Minister of Finances, Dušan Vujović signed today the Protocol on Education of Cadets and Students at the Military Academy in the Field of Public Finances.
The Protocol governs the cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia regarding the analysis of the needs for the education in the field of public finances, as well as regarding achieving a common interest of advancing the personnel for the work in financial services in the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces and other budgetary users.
“An eminent educational institution such as the University of Defence is a right place for the education of experts in the field of public finances, and for further advancement of civil servants who are already taking care of that segment of work in the budgetary users. Concurrently, the Ministry of Finance has resources, specialised and responsible individuals, who can support teaching personnel and enhance the instruction at the Department for Finances of the University of Defence” the Minister of Defence, Zoran Đorđević stated.
The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Finance will cooperate in determining the sufficient number of individuals to be educated and trained in the field of finances at Department for Finances of the Military Academy. Moreover, in accordance with the Protocol, the two Ministries will regulate the status of the teaching staff at Department for Finances of the University of Defence for the individuals employed in the Ministry of Finance, and a Joint body will be established to deal with the needs of employees in terms of education and advancement.
According to the Protocol, the Ministry of Finance will support the conduct of the study programme Public Finances (Bachelor, Master and Doctoral studies) lectured at Department for Finances of the University of Defence, while the Ministry of Defence will provide necessary financial, personnel and facility capabilities for the conduct of the study programme Public Finances which is of common interest for all users of budget.
The Ministry of Defence will also ensure that the persons employed in the Ministry of Finance are elected as teachers, for the purpose of accreditation and conduct of lectures at Department for Finances of the University of Defence.
The two Ministries will define, as well, a joint annual programme of cooperation in the framework of budgetary resources allocated for this purpose.
