Inspection of Permanently Engaged Forces and Rapid Reaction Forces
Yesterday, during the day an inspection was initiated of the operational capabilities of permanently engaged forces and rapid reaction forces of the Serbian Armed Forces.
It is a partial, extraordinary and unannounced field inspection of a part of permanently engaged forces and rapid reaction forces that is going to last until 27th June on several locations in Serbia.
The inspection will check the readiness of units to respond as quickly as possible to assigned tasks in the framework of envisaged crisis situation scenarios. As part of exercise activities, different combat suppositions will be carried out implying special actions, air support and the inspection will also cover the capability to intervene in endangered facilities, defend against sudden attacks on a facility or unit assembly area.
The objective of the inspection is to analyse the level of capabilities and the enhancement of training and combat readiness of the Serbian Armed Forces units to react to possible risks and threats to security.
The inspection of the operational capabilities started by alarming a part of the units of the Special Brigade, which are currently on their training in summer conditions on the Vlasina Lake, and by an intervention towards an endangered facility.
In the continuation, the inspection was conducted of the forces for intervention in endangered facilities in the base “Jezerska Mahala”, a captured facility “Gornji Vrtogoš” as well as on the “South” Base with the engagement of supporting forces consisting of special teams transported by air from the Vlasina Lake to the “South” Base.
