Meeting with the Delegation of the Association of the Descendants of Serbian Warriors 1912-1920
The Minister of Defence, Zoran Đorđević received the delegation of the Association of the Descendants of Serbian Warriors 1912-1920 of Kikinda led by the President of the Association Milan Zorić.The topic of the meeting was the opportunity for the cooperation in the field of culture and tradition in the forthcoming period, including the initiative to erect a monument dedicated to the Serbian Army and the volunteers from the First World War in Kikinda
Minister Đorđević said that the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces have great reverence for the victims and cherish the tradition of the Liberation Wars of Serbia, and they truly support all the efforts made to preserve, foster and maintain the tradition of liberation wars and to pay homage to both military and civilian victims.In this respect, the idea to erect the monument to the Serbian Army and the volunteers from the First World War in Kikinda was chiefly supported, but the Minister informed the members of the Association about all legal and sublegal measures to be taken for further realisation of the said initiative.
