Exercise of the special units of the Serbian and Hellenic Armed Forces
The exercise of the special units of the Serbian and Hellenic Armed Forces “Falcon 17” was conducted from 21st to 31st May at the barracks “Airport” in Nis and shooting range “Medja”.
The goal of the ten-day exercise was the enhancement of interoperability and mutual understanding of the army members of two countries at a tactical level during peace support operations.
Within the exercise “Falcon 17” the tactical exercise with live firing on the topic “Parachute team in insurgency fight with special landing“ was conducted yesterday.
The exercise activities were attended by Commander of the Special Brigade Brigadier General Zoran Velickovic and Commander of the Hellenic Armed Forces Joint Special Operations Command Brigadier General Nikolaos Flaris.
During his stay in Serbia, Brigadier General Flaris was received by the Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic. Two generals talked about the conduct of the exercise “Falcon 17”, as well as possibilities of improvement of cooperation between the special units of the Serbian and Hellenic Armed Forces.
