Meeting of the Defence Minister with the Ambassador of Slovenia
The Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic talked today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Belgrade Vladimir Gasparic.
During the meeting the interlocutors exchanged attitudes on possibilities of further improvement of defence cooperation, political and security situation in the region in the conditions of dynamic security surroundings, as well as the exchange of archive.
The interlocutors agreed that the developed total relations between two countries represent a good basis for even better defence cooperation, where broad possibilities in mutual interest start to open.
Minister Djordjevic stressed that the Ministry of Defence would continue with the balanced defence policy and continuous work on improvement and further development of defence relations with all countries and international organizations in accordance with the defined national interests.
In compliance with the defined attitudes of the Government, and in the direction of European integration, Serbia attempts to have an effect on calming down the situation in the region by transparent policy of collaboration and development of economic prosperity of all countries in the surroundings.
The Defence Minister thanked for the professional engagement of the members of the Slovenian Armed Forces within KFOR bearing in mind that besides securing conditions for peaceful life of the Serbian people at the territory of south Serbian province, it is extremely important to preserve the Serbian historic and cultural heritage of this place.
